Terceira Dose is the third album by São Paulo-based band Chorando as Pitangas. The album's title is a reference to the pandemic period during which it was conceived and recorded. Terceira Dose is also a metaphor for the liberation and rebirth brought about by the Covid-19 vaccination.
The idea behind the new album was to reunite the group with longtime friends and musical partners. But simply being friends wasn't enough! These musicians also needed to bring diverse and complementary musical experiences to the group's universe. Thus, violinist Ricardo Herz, guitarist Chico Pinheiro, and the body percussion group Barbatuques were invited. The result was surprising!
The album features ten tracks, all original and previously unreleased, showcasing all the richness and sophistication of the current Brazilian instrumental music scene.
